13 Nights 2012 Jet Jaguarby *Grimbro

Day 08 of 13 Nights brings us Jet Jaguar. Whos only appearance was in Godzilla vs Megalon. Jet Jaguar was the result of a contest Toho had in mid-to-late 1972 for fans to come up with a new hero for them to use. Toho saw a chance to capitalize on the Ultraman craze and was originally going to have him star in the movie calling it Jet Jaguar vs Megalon. In the end Toho worried that this new character could not draw the box office money and made him an ally of Godzilla.

Really nice job! And thanks for the little history lesson, I was totally unaware of that! I remember seeing this in the movie theaters when I was 6 years old. Still remains one of my all time favorite Godzilla movies!

gorgeous!!! I always wished they'd bring him back, cause I always liked him. Although I never liked that he grew. Shoulda just been a giant robot from the start.
