Day 11 and we have King Kong, from the movie Godzilla vs King Kong. The idea started as a pitch from Willis O'Brien, the special effects animator of the original King Kong. His idea though was for King Kong to fight Frankenstein. After being turned down by many movie studios Toho picked it up after O'Brien agreed to change Frankenstein's Monster to Godzilla. The look of Kong was more like that of an orangutan than of a Gorilla. He looked at his best when fighting so I reflect that in the painting

I love you so much for creating Kong like he actually looked in "King Kong vs. Godzilla" Whenever I see similar works they seem to forget the way Kong looked in that movie (sure he looks goofy, but I always liked Toho's Kong). Thank you so much! Awesome work!

You are more than welcome. The theme was Toho Monsters. If Kong did not look like the goofy Toho Kong than I would be doing the fans a disservice. I am a fan just like you :)
