13 Nights of Halloween 2013 Cyclops by Grimbro 13 Nights of Halloween 2013 Cyclops by Grimbro
Welcome to this years 13 Nights of Halloween, celebrating the Monsters of Ray Harryhausen!
We kick things of with one of the monster icons most associated with Harryhausens work. From the 1958 classic, 7th Voyage of Sinbad, its the Cyclops!

Oh...this guy...the bane of my childhood and the stalker of my nightmares (I kid you not, this creature has appeared in FIVE dreams already!).
I gotta give you credit, though. You did an excellent job with the artwork. The cyclops definitely looks very intimidating here, which is very much in character. The lighting and detail is excellent, and it sure brings back old memories.
I might as well go on a Harryhausen fanart marathon while it's Halloween time.

I love this movie! Grew up watching it on an old VHS tape. The Cyclops roar is unforgettable! Very nice artwork, you really captured the essence of Harryhausen's monster!

Great work , it looks so lively with the pose and the use of strong vibrant colors teamed with those excellent textures , youve really given this picture energy.  What used to be a stop motion creation has taken on a life of its own in your hands.
Ray would be proud!

Wow that is some high praise. I would really hope that Harryhausen would enjoy them if he was still around
