13 Nights of Halloween 2013 roars on with the epic confrontation of Trog and the Tiger from 1977's, Sinbad and the eye of the Tiger. I would argue that this film represented a culmination of all the things that Harryhausen had done throughout his career. This scene especially. The fight between Trog and the Saber tooth Tiger was his best creature vs creature fight ever! As a kid I loved Trog, like Mighty Joe Young before him, Trog had a range of expression that made you believe in him. His heroic confrontation with the Tiger was so brutal but yet a magnificent ballet of stop motion magic. Even though this movie came out the same Summer as Star Wars it still left a great impression on me.

As a kid I was traumatized and got a bit of PTSD seeing the way Trog died.
It was sad seeing him sacrifice himself to save his human friends.
