I remember a marathon on AMC when I was a kid. I beg and pleaded to my mom to let me stay up and watch it. She give in and I stayed up most of the night before I passed out. I wish Toko would make another Godzilla movie. Im dreading over the new american movie. hopefully they don't screw this one. Amazingly done I love the detail.

Trust me, Legendary WON'T screw it up. They are working very closely with Toho Studios. The director (Gareth Edwards) and producer (thomas Tull) are both BIG fans of Godzilla.

Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption) re-wrote the script that was originally written by David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight), So I have faith in these talented people. :)

One of the producers has worked with Toho as well:

Yoshimitsu Banno studied at Toho under such directors as Hiromichi Horikawa, Mikio Naruse, Kengo Furusawa and Seiji Maruyama. By 1970 Toho was ready to promote him to full director, and the resulting project, Birth of the Japanese Islands (1970) played at Osaka's Expo 70, attracting record-breaking crowds. Gojira series producer Tomoyuki Tanaka signed him up to help revitalize the series. The result was the famous (or infamous) Gojira vs. Hedora (1971), a passionately avant-garde film which so horrified producer Tanaka that Banno's directorial privileges at Toho were temporarily suspended. He managed to restore his reputation by rewriting and directing second unit for Nosutodoramusu no Daiyogen (1974). He was approached to write and/or direct Gojira movies twice more in the 1970s, but his ideas continued to be too radical for the studio. Eventually he resigned as a director and became an executive in charge of project development, which in recent years has included the highly ambitious JAPAX Project, a 70mm. process meant to compete with the Imax process.

Exactly. The number of views for the two trailers is in the millions.
I do have faith that we'll get a monster movie of epic proportions in size and quality ;)

And yes, that was a pun.

I see. Good. I do try to be funny bit not always on purpose :D
Yes. So true. I've seen every Godzilla movie ever made dozens of
times and grew up watching all the movies when I was younger.

The roar in the trailer was cool and they made it in a similar fashion to the original roar.

The original roar was made by a resin-coated, leather glove which was dragged
along the loosened strings of a double bass instrument, and then slowing down, and altering the sound.
